Find What Gives You Energy Back

Last week, we talked about how to spark your dopamine and use that back-to-school energy to get moving. Start something new. Do the hard workout. Finish the thing you’ve been putting off. Celebrate the win.

Now that you know how to create some momentum, here’s the next question for your fall reset: What gives you energy back?

Think about the moments when you can feel yourself settling. You get back from a morning walk without your phone and your thoughts are clearer. You eat a protein lunch instead of pushing through the afternoon on coffee, and your energy feels steadier. You finish a strength workout and feel good about what your body can do. You laugh with friends and realize how much you needed that time together. Or you spend an evening reading by the fire and feel yourself slow down.

Those are clues. Pay attention to them.

We all have full lives, and there will always be things that ask a lot of us. Knowing what helps you feel calm and grounded gives you a way to reset during the day.

This week, notice one thing that gives you energy back. Then make a plan to do it again. Put it on your calendar if you need to.

That’s how a fall reset starts to become part of your life: you learn what works for you, and you keep coming back to it.
